ohhh. Laos...nok is happier than she looks

More Laos

A nice pic of Nok and our "tour guide". She informed us that she was ther eto guide us--to the "ticket booth" as it turned out. Anyway, she was cute.
Here is a cave pic, but doesn't do the caves justice. They were beautiful...Probably need some mad Harrissimo skills to take a photo in there.
Outside of the cave.
Nok during our river floating trip. Beautiful water and Beer Laos everywhere.

Oh God, It's Full of Snow

Had I known I was going to look like this....
Wasn't that shocking, really.
This IS shocking. Skiing without falling.

She never did figure out how to stop completely.
Note: Excellent posture.

Yes, Jay and Eun Byul finally dragged us out to go skiing. I don't look as bad as I thought, but I do look more than a bit dorky. Nok looks like an old lady in those baggy ski pants. Was fun. I only crashed about half a dozen times. Maybe the next trip will yield more backbreaking accidents. Note my excellent posture while skiing.

For people who can't ski, we look pretty confident here.

Also note that we skiied from 12-4 in the morning. Yes, land of the night skiing. Korea.

Back to Seoul the big city. Excellent pics of Seoul and ski courtesy of Jay.

Food For All In Laos

WHAT WE WERE EATING

WHAT HE WAS EATING

The Boating

We were there in Vientienne for a big boat race, which was a good thing, since the city seems to be boring otherwise. Here are some pics of that, courtesy of Gregor, the photo-toting Swissman (can you say that?). Enjoy...more to come.

Just above, the parking and food/shopping mania during the festivity. Is that Nok just in front in the white shirt? Probably not, since we didn't know Greg at this time, but it sure looks like her...little Laos girl that she is.
